Color-coding:

To help you make easy visual connections, Daylight Explorer™ uses color-coding. You can easily customize these colors.

Logging:

Daylight Explorer™ has a logging mechanism that records program events in order to provide a way for you to look back and see what happened when Daylight Explorer™ was running. An example of such an event might be the beginning and ending of a contribution collection session. You can determine the kinds of events that are logged and how they are logged.

Pictures:

You can determine the apsect ratio in which pictures will be displayed. By matching this ratio to the aspect ratio of your digital camera, you can cut down on image distortion. You can also cause pictures of individual members and groups to display differently so that, for example, groups are displayed in landscape mode while individuals are displayed in portrait mode.

Labels:

Daylight Explorer™ lets you print address labels, name tags and giving envelope labels on label stock. The Program Options dialog lets you specify the size of the label stock you will be using.

Scheduling:

In the Program Options dialog, you can change the standard check-out period for your library items as well as the per-day fine rate.

User Preferences:

The My Preferences dialog gives you many options to determine how Daylight Explorer™ will look and feel when you are logged in.

User Names and Passwords:

You can change your user name and password using the My Preferences dialog. Users with the Administrator permission can edit the user profiles of all users with the intuitive User Manager tool. Through it, they can grant and revoke user permissions as well as create, delete and temporarily suspend user accounts.

Custom Fields:

You can configure 80 custom fields using the Custom Field Manager. Custom fields let you create database fields that your church needs but are not included in Daylight Explorer™. You can even specify a tool tip for your custom fields.
