Logical Data Display:

Daylight Explorer™ dislpays your data in a way that reflects the actual organization of your church.

View All Data:

Daylight Explorer™ shows all of your records in one view instead of making you scroll through them one at a time.

Minimal Typing:

Records for the members of your church only need to be created once. After that, you just drag and drop them into new positions. For example, if you need to record the fact that a member has joined a sunday school class, then you drag his or her record from the right-hand pane into the appropriate node in the left-hand pane with your mouse pointer. There is no typing. In the illustration, to show Judith Cassler as a member of the fictional Agape sunday school class, you would drag her record to the People node under Agape.

Easy Editing:

When you want to change data in Daylight Explorer™, you double-click the appropriate row in the right-hand pane and a property page will come up. In the property page, you edit the data and finalize your changes by clicking the OK button. Note that you can always click the Undo button if you want to undo your changes and start over.

Comprehensive Menus:

There are three menu systems in Daylight Explorer™: the menu bar at the top of the main window, the tool bar directly below the menu bar and a system of context menus that come up when you right-click on an item. The illustration shows the context menu that would come up if you right-clicked on the Judith Cassler record. Here the mouse pointer is placed over the Actions menu which gives you the option of sending an e-mail message to Judith Cassler, getting a map to her main address or going to her website.

Easy Data Sorting:

In the right-hand pane, you can sort your data by any column.

Quick Help:

In addition to the standard help system that is accessible from the Help menu in the menu and tool bar, there is a special Dynamic Help menu in every context menu. From this special menu you can access help topics that are relevant to the work you currently doing. There are also links to the Daylight Explorer™ support web pages.
