Daylight Research : Pledge Features

Each pledge is listed under the person or family who made the pledge. Full details of each pledge are listed in the right-hand pane.

Daylight Explorer™ gives your church many options. If you choose, you can take pledges from your families as well as individual members.

If you want to record a new pledge from one of your members, you click the New menu on the Pledges node under his or her name and the New Pledge dialog will come up.

The New Pledge dialog contains a handy pledge calculator which lets you easily and accurately calculate all the details of a pledge. In the illustration, the donor has pledged to contribute $50 per week for a one year period. If you click the Calculate Amount button, the cumulative amount of this pledge as well as the number of payments will be shown in their respective fields.

Your members can also pledge by specifying the total amount they will contribute. In the accompanying illustration, the donor has specified that he or she will contribute $2,600 over the course of one year. Clicking the Calculate Payment button will tell you how much each equal payment will be as well as the number of payments.

Daylight Explorer's pledging capabilities enable you to efficiently record any pledge. Payment schedules include: Annual, Monthly, One-Time, Quarterly, Semi-Annual and Weekly. You can specify any time span for a pledge period and pledges can be specified to any of your church's or sunday school's funds.

With a few clicks and no typing, you can produce a professional-looking pledge worksheet for each of your members. You can also just as easily create an updated pledge worksheet that includes payments that have been made to date as well as a convenient summary. These reports can be exported to a PDF file so that, if one of your members asks you to send his or her worksheet via e-mail, you can have it on its way in less than a minute.
