Daylight Research - Database Querying Features

Ready-made Queries Out of the Box:

Available with the Desktop and Network editions of Daylight Explorer™, Query Maker lets you query your database using powerful SQL queries. Daylight Explorer™ ships with a generous assortment of ready-made queries that you will find useful. When you want to use a query, you just select it and click the Run Query menu.

Clear Data Display:

When you run your query, your data is dislpayed in the lower part of the right-hand pane.

Menu-based Query Creation:

You don't have to know any SQL to create these highly useful queries. All of the fields and conditions are presented to you as menus. When you are finished selecting your menus, your fields and conditions are laid out for you in the Query Fields and Query Conditions panes. You then click the Run Query menu just as though you were running one of the ready-made queries.

Saving Your Query:

If you author a useful query and want to be able to run it again in the future, you can save it by clicking the Save Query menu. It will then appear alongside your other queries ready for you to run again whenever you need it.

Exporting Your Query:

You can export queries that you author and share them with other churches or church organizations that use Daylight Explorer™. They can import the queries that you author by using the intuitive Import dialog.
